Support the Queensland Flood Relief Effort

[ 0 ] January 14, 2011 |

In 2003 my home city of Canberra was ravaged by terrible bushfires that destroyed entire suburbs and left the whole city in shock. Everyone in the city was somehow affected by the fires whether they lost a home/property or knew someone who had. After that terrible disaster Australia and the world came together in aid of the Canberra bushfire victims, now in 2011 Australia has been hit by another natural disaster that calls for the same compassion and generosity that was given to my home city all those years ago.

Over the past few weeks Queensland has been battered with severe rain and extreme flooding destroying homes and devastating entire communities. Many families have lost everything, people are missing and sadly bodies continue to be discovered.

You can support the victims of the flood by donating to the Queensland Premiers Flood Relief Appeal. For those who have travel blogs I’ve designed a 468×60 banner that links directly back to the Queensland Governments Flood Relief Page that you can add to your blog to spread the word and lend your support.

Copy and paste the HTML code below to use the banner on your website. Any problems just leave me a comment in the comment box.

Every little bit counts!!!
