Travel Moment: Rome’s Tiber River at Dusk
Rome’s Tiber River is one entangled in the the historical, mythical and legendary tales of Rome’s past. As the myth goes, Romulus and Remus fathered by either the the god Mars or the demi-god Hercules were thrown in the depths of the Tiber river as infants and left to die. That is until a she-wolf rescued them from the cold waters and suckled them back to health. Jump ahead to adulthood and Romulus and Remus decide to found a new, grand city, unfortunately they just can’t agree on the exact location and in the end Romulus ruthlessly murders his brother Remus and founds Rome.
Though the bloody foundation upon which Rome was founded some what kills the mystique there’s no denying the view of Rome’s Tiber River at Dusk is something magical, mythical and spectacular!
